Glander International Bunkering has advertised a vacancy for a bunker trader to be based in Valencia, Spain.
The role, open to candidates with a background in sales rather than necessarily the oil industry, will see the successful applicant take on responsibilities including understanding customer needs, negotiating prices, closing deals, identifying new business opportunities, engaging in day-to-day trading of bunker fuel, as well as participating in client and supplier visits.
The new hire will be introduced to trading tools, platforms and networks, and will be expected to develop an understanding of the market while building their own relationships and sourcing channels.
Candidates are expected to be fluent in written and spoken English, as well as proficient in at least one additional language. They should also demonstrate a “positive, results-driven mindset” and an ability to build relationships with both customers and suppliers.
Founded in 1961, Glander International Bunkering operates a global network of offices across the USA, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, providing fuel and lubricant trading and brokering services.
