Flex Commodities appoints Milind Homkar as trade controller


Dubai-based trader brings in finance and audit specialist to lead trade control function.

Dubai-based Flex Commodities has announced the appointment of Milind Homkar as trade controller.

Homkar holds qualifications as a chartered accountant (CA) and certified information systems auditor (CISA), and brings more than 20 years of experience in financial controls, fraud investigation and business control to the role.

He joins Flex Commodities from Maersk, where he held senior positions in business control and global anti-fraud. Prior to that, he served at Vodafone, Eaton Technologies and Deloitte.

In his new position, Homkar will lead the trade control function at Flex Commodities, with responsibility for trade lifecycle oversight, accounts receivable and credit control across the trading desk.

Headquartered in the UAE, Flex Commodities is a marine fuels trading and cargo logistics business with staff also based in Greece, Seoul and Singapore.
