Bunker Holding promotes Mikkel Kannegaard to chief operating officer


Kannegaard has led transformation of supply organisation since joining in August 2025.

Bunker Holding has appointed Mikkel Kannegaard as chief operating officer, effective 13 May.

Kannegaard joined the marine fuel group as head of global supply in August 2025 and has led the restructuring of its supply organisation into a leaner, more integrated model.

The revised structure brings Bunker Holding’s physical operations, sourcing entities and new fuels team under one umbrella.

Peder Møller, chief executive officer of Bunker Holding, said: “Mikkel has made a strong impression since joining. He has brought operational strength and a clear sense of direction to an important area of our business. His promotion to COO reflects both his contribution so far and the confidence we have in him going forward.”

Kannegaard joined Bunker Holding with a mandate to transform its supply function at a time when the group wanted closer alignment between global expertise and local agility.

During the restructuring, he has also worked with chief commercial officer Anders Grønborg to strengthen links between supply and commercial functions across the organisation.

As chief operating officer, Kannegaard will continue the work already underway and help Bunker Holding respond to changing market conditions while meeting customer expectations.
