Bunker Holding has appointed Mikkel Kannegaard as chief operating officer, effective 13 May.

Kannegaard joined the marine fuel group as head of global supply in August 2025 and has led the restructuring of its supply organisation into a leaner, more integrated model.

The revised structure brings Bunker Holding’s physical operations, sourcing entities and new fuels team under one umbrella.

Peder Møller, chief executive officer of Bunker Holding, said: “Mikkel has made a strong impression since joining. He has brought operational strength and a clear sense of direction to an important area of our business. His promotion to COO reflects both his contribution so far and the confidence we have in him going forward.”

Kannegaard joined Bunker Holding with a mandate to transform its supply function at a time when the group wanted closer alignment between global expertise and local agility.

During the restructuring, he has also worked with chief commercial officer Anders Grønborg to strengthen links between supply and commercial functions across the organisation.

As chief operating officer, Kannegaard will continue the work already underway and help Bunker Holding respond to changing market conditions while meeting customer expectations.

Kannegaard commented: “I am proud and grateful to take on the role of COO. Since joining, I have been met with a strong culture and a clear ambition to move the business forward together. I would like to thank the leadership team for the trust they have placed in me. And I especially want to recognise the teams across the Group for their dedication and collaboration that have made the progress so far possible. I look forward to building on the momentum we have created together.”

Bunker Holding is a seller of marine fuels and part of the family-owned United Shipping & Trading Company (USTC). Companies under the Bunker Holding umbrella include Bunker One, Dan-Bunkering, Glander International Bunkering, KPI OceanConnect and Unioil Supply.
