Propeller Fuels Limited is seeking a bunker trader for a full-time, on-site position in London.

The role will involve the procurement and sale of marine fuels, the management of client accounts, and the development of trading strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and analysing market trends in commodity and fuel trading, building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and monitoring credit and financial transactions.

The successful candidate will also be expected to take a proactive approach to expanding the company’s network and achieving sales targets in the global marine fuel market.

Applicants should have experience in oil trading and fuel procurement, a sound understanding of commodity markets, and the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies. Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills are also required, together with the ability to understand and apply market and regulatory frameworks.

Previous experience or knowledge in shipping or maritime is highly advantageous, while a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field is preferred. The role also requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment in London.

Headquartered near Hull, UK, Propeller Fuels carries out physical bunker deliveries in numerous ports along the English and Scottish coastlines. It also has expanded its international footprint in recent years with offices in Athens, Dubai and Singapore.

According to the online job post, which was first created on 27 April and no longer accepting invitations, there have been a total of 26 applicants for the role.
