New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has launched a 155,500-dwt LNG dual-fuel crude oil tanker at its Chinese facility, according to the yard.
The vessel, bearing builder’s hull number 0315844, entered the water at the yard’s site in Jiangsu province on 10 April.
The Suezmax-class tanker is being built for Shamrock Ships c/o Maran Tankers Management and incorporates dual-fuel propulsion capable of operating on LNG or conventional marine fuels.
Representatives from New Times Shipbuilding, the Maran site team, and ABS classification society attended the launching ceremony.
New Times Shipbuilding specialises in the construction of crude oil tankers, product carriers, and bulk carriers. The yard has been building vessels in the Suezmax segment as part of its orderbook.
Established in 1992, Athens-based Maran Tankers Management is the oil tanker shipping division of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group. It specializes in managing oil tankers, providing technical management, chartering, crewing, and HSQE services.
