Petrol Ofisi launches fuel supply tanker Wolf 1


Turkish bunker supplier adds 1,750-dwt vessel with alternative fuel infrastructure to fleet.

Petrol Ofisi has launched a new fuel supply tanker at a ceremony held at the Hicri Ercili shipyard in Altınova, Yalova, according to a LinkedIn post by the firm on 19 February.

The vessel, named Wolf 1, has a capacity of 1,750-dwt and features what the supplier describes as a zero-emission design with fully automated systems along with include infrastructure suitable for alternative fuel transportation and high discharge capacity.

Wolf 1 was built through a collaboration between Petrol Ofisi Group and Hicri Ercili A.Ş. Petrol Ofisi said that it plans to launch three additional tankers in the series during 2026, in line with its strategic investment plan.

The launch ceremony was attended by Durmuş Ünüvar, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, along with local administrators and Murat Ercili, chairman of the board of directors of Hicri Ercili Group.

Petrol Ofisi stated that it considers investments supporting energy supply security, blue economy, and sustainability goals as a strategic priority.

The company described the vessel as combining operational efficiency with an environmentally friendly approach and stated that it aims to "expand environmentally friendly and high-tech solutions in maritime transportation."
