Global Fuel Supply has shared details of its tanker MV Blue Alliance for the first time, following completion of repair and upgrade works in Dubai.

The vessel underwent an intermediate survey in line with Bureau Veritas requirements, with works aimed at preparing the tanker for long-term operational service.

Upgrades included the installation of mass flow meters compliant with ISO 22192 standards, a ballast water treatment system and full hull blasting followed by a new antifouling coating.

In addition, the tanker completed machinery overhauls, structural steel renewals and propulsion system works, alongside other technical improvements designed to enhance reliability and regulatory compliance.

Lamin Bara, Chief Commercial Officer at Global Fuel Supply, said: “With MV Blue Alliance now preparing to enter service, we take a deliberate step forward as shipowners, supporting the work we are already doing across West Africa. This time with our own tanker.”

Built in 2008, Blue Alliance is 115 metres long with a gross tonnage of 4,599. The vessel was previously named Atticus.

Ship-tracking data from the last quarter of 2025 shows that the tanker had been active in Fujairah, UAE.
