Bitoil Group has announced a recruitment drive for a bunker trader position based in Dubai, according to a job posting on LinkedIn.

The role involves managing marine fuel and lubricant trading across international markets, with responsibilities including developing client relationships with shipping companies, operators and charterers, as well as overseeing the full trade cycle from supply chain coordination to delivery.

The company is seeking candidates with a minimum of three years' experience in bunker trading or bunker sales, along with a university degree, ideally in business or a related field. Applicants are required to demonstrate C1-level proficiency in English, with additional languages considered advantageous.

Key responsibilities for the position include actively prospecting potential customers through phone, email and industry channels, building and managing client and supplier portfolios, and monitoring market developments to identify new business opportunities. The role also involves managing risk exposure and optimising trading strategies.

Following a trial period, the successful candidate will be expected to represent the company at international bunker conferences and consistently achieve key performance indicators and quarterly sales targets.

Bitoil Group states that candidates should possess strong business development skills and persistence in client acquisition, noting that cold calling forms part of the role. An existing client and supplier portfolio is preferred but not mandatory.

The company is offering a remuneration package aligned with experience and achievements, visa support, and what it describes as clear career growth pathways and opportunities for professional development. The role requires flexibility to travel for business purposes as needed.

The position is open to both senior bunker traders and bunker traders, with the company emphasising that candidates should be results-oriented and demonstrate what it terms a "can-do" attitude towards the oil industry.
