Intra-month bunker price volatility rose to its highest level since April during the month of August, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-to-high differentials for the daily Bunker Index (BIX) global average, August recorded a differential of $26.71 per tonne, up from $21.13 per tonne in July.

The lowest daily worldwide bunker average last month was $393.35 per tonne, recorded on 5th August, whilst the highest price was $420.06 per tonne on 22nd August.
