Biggest jump in Fujairah 380 cSt average since May


380 cSt monthly average rose 11.1 percent in March at the Middle East's leading bunker port.



The average price of 380 centistoke (cSt) intermediate fuel oil (IFO) in Fujairah rose to its highest level in three months in March, according to Bunker Index price data.

The monthly 380 cSt average at the Middle East's leading bunker port was up $17, or 11.1 percent, to $170 per tonne, during a month that saw Fujairah's best-selling fuel grade record a $43 low-to-high price differential with a range of $142 to $185 per tonne.

The $17 increase is only the third since May 2015, and it is the most significant during this 10-month period.

The month ended with an assessment price of $172.50 per tonne, up $23.50, or 15.8 percent, on the $149.00 per tonne recorded on the last trading day of February.
