KPI Bridge Oil names senior trader in Athens


Experienced trader Dimitrios Bouzoukis will also act as team leader.



KPI Bridge Oil, a trader and broker of marine fuels, marine lubricants and risk management products, has appointed Dimitrios Bouzoukis [pictured] as its new Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader in Athens.

Prior to joining KPI Bridge Oil last year, Bouzoukis was Team Leader and Senior Bunker and Lubricants Trader at Baluco S.A. between 2010 and 2015. Before that, he worked as Re-Engineering Manager at Neptune Lines between 2008 and 2010.

Prior to this, Bouzoukis worked as both Business Development Manager and Deputy Customer Service General Manager for Maersk Line between 2005 and 2008. He was employed as Shipping Manager at P&O Nedlloyd between 2000 and 2005, and Documentation Supervisor at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A. between 1997 and 2000.

Bouzoukis's first language is Greek and he is also fluent in English. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics and science.

In addition to his role as Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader at KPI Bridge Oil, Bouzoukis will also function as team leader at the Athens office, the company confirmed today.

Commenting on his appointment, Bouzoukis said: "It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that I have taken up this opportunity to join the KPI Bridge Oil group, it being one of the leaders in the bunker industry. It is an exciting new set up we have here and I am thrilled to be working alongside Jesper to help him grow and develop the Athens team."

Jesper Rasmussen, Managing Director of KPI Bridge Oil Athens, remarked: "Dimitris is a great fit for our team. His recent bunker and lubricant trading experience along with his earlier work with some of the major players of the maritime industry made him the ideal candidate to further strengthen our team."
