Singapore MGO vs ICE Gas Oil in December


Analysis of Singapore marine gas oil (MGO) and ICE Gas Oil prices in December.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore fell at a lower rate than ICE Gas Oil during the month of December, according to Bunker Index and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $82.00 per tonne, or 18.85 percent, to $353.10 per tonne in December. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was down by $74 per tonne, or 17.0 percent, to $362 per tonne.

Between December 2014 and December 2015, the monthly MGO average in Singapore declined by $236 per tonne, or 39.5 percent, from $598 to $362 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $219.56 per tonne, or 38.3 percent, from $572.66 to $353.10 per tonne.
