Bunker Index (BIX) price summary: week 48


A summary of global bunker prices in week 48.



The end-of-week Bunker Index (BIX) - the daily average worldwide bunker price quoted in US$ per metric tonne - fell for the third consecutive week on November 27, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global price was down $4.46, or 1.1 percent, to $408.18 per tonne on November 27 compared with $412.64 per tonne on November 20.

The $408.18 figure is the lowest end-of-week price of the year so far. It is also the lowest daily worldwide average of 2015.

As well as being the third successive price drop, it is also the sixth decline in seven weeks.
