Glander International Bunkering hires senior trader


Christoffer Ditlev Pedersen was previously employed at OW Bunker for over five years.



Glander International Bunkering has announced that Christoffer Ditlev Pedersen [pictured] has been appointed Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader at its office in Dubai.

Commenting on the news, Glander International Bunkering said: "Mr. Pedersen brings great industry expertise to the firm having over 8 years working in the bunker industry. In addition to his bunker experience, Christoffer is a qualified Export Engineer gaining his qualifications at Ingenioerhoejskolen in Denmark. Christoffer is half Danish and half Venezuelan and can speak Spanish, Danish and English fluently."

Prior to joining Glander International Bunkering, Pedersen had been an employee at the now defunct company OW Bunker since June 2009. His roles at the firm included bunker trader at OW Bunker Panama S.A. between June 2009 and November 2012; Assistant Manager at OW Bunker Copenhagen A/S between November 2012 and March 2013; Worldwide Trading Desk Manager at OW Bunker Copenhagen A/S between April 2013 and December 2013; and Business Development Manager at O.W. Bunker Panama S.A. between December 2013 and September 2014.

Pedersen also previously worked in the customer service department of Damco - a provider of freight forwarding and supply chain management services - between August 2007 and June 2009; and in business development at APM Terminals between February 2006 and February 2007.

Pedersen joins his former OW Bunker Panama colleague Carolina Herrera, who was appointed bunker and lubricant trader at Glander International Bunkering's Dubai office in November.
