Glander International Bunkering expands Dubai team


Bunker firm says new appointment provides it with 'strong unique positioning in the Nordic regions'.



Glander International Bunkering, has announced the appointment of Andreas Nektheden Johansen [pictured] to its Dubai office as bunker and lubricant trader.

In an emailed statement, the company said: "To meet the growing demands of our esteemed clients, Glander International Bunkering is hiring experienced traders and Andreas has many years of experience in the shipping industry as both a trader in operations and commercial. London and Dubai have been his bases and he has supplied predominantly to the Middle East and Scandinavia. Being Fluent in English and Norwegian gives Andreas strong unique positioning in the Nordic regions."

Johansen previously worked for KPI Bridge Oil in London as a bunker trader between September 2009 and July 2010. After that, he worked in the distribution of Apple accessories in Norway and, later, for Wagle Chartering AS as an assistant broker and for Geodis Wilson as a shipping supervisor. He is also a past employee of International Bunkering Middle East DMCC after joining the firm in February 2013.

Johansen has an honours degree in Maritime Business from Southampton Solent University.
