CEPSA launches new DMB 0.1% marine fuel

Spanish supplier says that it aims to have DMB 0.1% sulphur fuel available at its main bunker supply ports by December 2014.

Compañía Española de Petróleos, S.A.U. (CEPSA) has today (August 22) announced that it is launching a new DMB marine fuel with a sulphur content of 0.1%.

In an emailed message to clients, the Spanish supplier said: "CEPSA is pleased to introduce DMB 0.1%, a new marine fuel.

"DMB 0.1% is designed to comply with the 0.1% sulfur limit which will apply in the Emission Control Areas (ECA) from 1st January 2015, at competitive price.

"DMB 0.1% meets all DMB ISO 2010 parameters with the added value of sulfur content of max. 0.1%.

"DMB 0.1% is fully compatible with MGO, and typical values show a higher viscosity than marine gasoil.

CEPSA said that it aims to have DMB 0.1% sulphur fuel available at its main bunker supply ports by December 2014.
