The average global bunker price fell at a less significant rate than Brent crude during the month of July, according to Bunker Index (BIX) price data.

The Brent settlement average decreased by $3.73 per barrel, or 3.33 percent, to $108.24 per barrel in the month of July. During the same period, the BIX global bunker average was down $11.05 per tonne, or 1.39 percent, to $782.76 per tonne.

Since July 2013, the Brent monthly average has risen by $0.87 per barrel, or 0.81 percent, from $107.37 to $108.24 per barrel, whilst the BIX monthly global average has fallen by $8.09 per tonne, or 1.02 percent, from $790.85 to $782.76 per tonne.
