Brightoil appoints executive director


Per Wistoft Kristiansen joins Brightoil's board of directors.



Bunker supplier and tanker operator Brightoil Petroleum has announced that Per Wistoft Kristiansen [pictured] has been appointed executive director.

A service contract has been entered into between the company and Kristiansen for an initial term of three years.

With over 30 years of experience across Europe, Asia and the United States, Kristiansen has extensive expertise in the field of shipping and maritime services and broad leadership experience.

He has been Executive Officer of Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC since May 1, 2011 and served as Chief Executive Officer of the company from February 1, 2009 to May 1, 2011.

He was also Managing Director at Transpetrol Belgium and previously headed the port of Esbjerg in Denmark.

During his career Kristiansen has also served leading shipping companies such as D/S Nordern A/S, Toro Energy SAM and A.P Moller Group, amongst others.

Kristiansen holds an MBA from Scandinavian International Management Institute, Copenhagen and speaks seven languages.
