The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) will host the second episode of its Tide Talks webinar series on 29 June.

The discussion will draw on EMSA studies, including its research into the potential of hydrogen as a marine fuel.

The webinar is aimed at maritime professionals, regulators, industry representatives and those working or studying at the intersection of shipping and sustainability.

EMSA’s hydrogen research covers technical issues, regulatory frameworks, current applications and safety considerations linked to the use of hydrogen in shipping.

The agency has also published safety studies on hydrogen as a ship fuel, including work on hazards, system risks and safeguards for hydrogen-fuelled vessel designs.
