Bunker Index launches NWE Bunker Index (Press Release)


New marine fuel benchmark prices for North West Europe are launched.



Bunker Index is pleased to announce the launch of the NWE Bunker Index (ABP), the new marine fuel pricing benchmark for North West Europe (NWE).

Launched today, the NWE Bunker Index (ABP) is calculated as the Average Bunker Price (ABP) for all fuel grades at the ports of Antwerp, Bergen, Copenhagen, Falmouth, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Great Belt, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kaliningrad, Klaipeda, Riga, Rotterdam, St. Petersrburg and Tallinn.

Also, launched today is the NWE IFO 380 Index (ABP), NWE IFO 180 Index (ABP), NWE MDO Index (ABP) and NWE MGO Index (ABP) - the average bunker price assessments in North West Europe for 380-centistoke, 180-centistoke, marine diesel oil (MDO) and marine gasoil (MGO) respectively.

NWE Bunker Index prices will be published on a daily basis at the following times:

12:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) / UCT/UTC (Universal Coordinated Time)
13:00 BST (British Summer Time) / WET (Western European Time)
14:00 CET (Central European Time)
15:00 EET (Eastern European Time)
07:00 EST (Eastern Standard Time)
04:00 PST (Pacific Standard Time)
