Monjasa adds bunker supply vessel in Denmark

Monjasa has confirmed the addition of the MT Vinga Safir to its fleet in Denmark.

Previously operated by Stena Oil, the Vinga Safir is already well known in the Skaw area north of Denmark. The vessel completed its first bunker deliveries for Monjasa on July 2.

Just over a year ago, Monjasa added the M/T Antares as a permanent bunker vessel in Skagen, with the former fixed Skagen vessel, Skaw Provider, retained to meet growing demand in the Channel.

And on Tuesday, the bunker firm noted that the Vinga Safir had also been added "because of the English Channel expansion".

Monjasa estimates that it currently has a 20 percent market share in Skaw. Last year, the company sold a total of 3.8 million tonnes worldwide.
