Dan-Bunkering trader relocates to US, earns Commercial Director promotion

Michel Dominique Thomsen named Commercial Director at Dan-Bunkering (America) Inc.

Dan-Bunkering (America) Inc. has announced the relocation and promotion of Michel Dominique Thomsen to the position of Commercial Director at Dan-Bunkering (America) Inc.

Thomsen fills the role vacated by Jim Jensen, who was promoted to Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering's North America operation in July.

Thomsen initially began his career in the bunker business with Dan-Bunkering back in 2005, where he was employed as a bunker trader in Copenhagen up until 2010. He went on to pursue a career abroad as Sales Manager at BMS United Bunkers in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he worked for two-and-a-half years, and was later appointed Senior Bunker Trader and Team Leader at Dan-Bunkering's Copenhagen office in May 2013.

"I am excited to have Michel on board the North American team, as there is no doubt that both of our offices in this region will benefit from Michel's great experience and extensive network," commented Jim Jensen, Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering (America) Inc.

Jensen and Thomsen previously worked together at Dan-Bunkering's Copenhagen branch. The bunker firm said they were both "good examples of the internal mobility programme allowing talented employees to relocate between the offices and share knowledge and expertise".
