The global Bunker Index (BIX) monthly average fell for the first time in three months in November, according to Bunker Index price data.

November's monthly average decreased by $9.67, or 2.2 percent, to $429.12 per tonne, down from the previous month's figure of $438.79 per tonne.

Despite the decline, the $429.12 price is the second-highest in 13 months - since October 2015. The month-on-month drop is the most significant since January.

The BIX is the daily global average price for all the 700-plus assessment prices published on the site, covering over 300 ports and the major fuel grades.
