Intra-month bunker price volatility rose to its second-highest level in six months in October, according to Bunker Index price data.

In an analysis of low-to-high differentials for the daily Bunker Index (BIX) global average, October recorded a differential of $25.95 per tonne, up from $19.36 per tonne in September.

The lowest daily worldwide bunker average last month was $420.12 per tonne, recorded on 3rd October, whilst the highest price was $446.07 per tonne on 25th October.
