MGO average nosedived $338.67 in 2015


Bunker Index reveals the average global marine gas oil (MGO) price in 2015.



The average global price of marine gas oil (MGO) in 2015 was $661.14 per tonne, according to Bunker Index price data.

In order to calculate the average price, Bunker Index took into account all the daily MGO port assessment prices published on the site in 2015.

The MGO average was $338.67, or 33.9 percent, lower than the $1000.81-per-tonne figure recorded in 2014.

The lowest MGO price recorded in 2015 was $277 per tonne, whilst the highest was $1146 per tonne.
