Singapore 380 cSt drops 6.1% in a week

A summary of weekly Singapore 380 centistoke (cSt) prices.

The price of 380 centistoke (cSt) intermediate fuel oil (IFO) at the port of Singapore fell to its lowest end-of-week level of the year so far on Friday, according to Bunker Index price data.

The Singapore 380 cSt bunker price was down by $14.50, or 6.1 percent, to $222.00 per tonne on November 13 compared with $236.50 per tonne on November 6.

Decreases of $2.50, $8.50 and $4.00 - recorded on Monday, Thursday and Friday respectively - outweighed the $0.50 rise seen on Wednesday and the unchanged numbers during the public holiday on Tuesday.

The $222.00 price is not, however, the lowest daily price of 2015 - a figure of $203.50 (with a low of $203.00 and a high of $204.00) was recorded on August 26.

In dollar terms, the $14.50 decrease is the most significant in four weeks - since the $15.00 7-day drop recorded between October 9 and 16. In percentage terms, the 6.1 percent fall is the biggest in nine weeks - since week 37.
