The Bunker Index (BIX) - the daily average worldwide bunker price quoted in US$ per metric tonne - fell to its lowest end-of-week level in almost six months on July 24, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global price dropped by $12.53, or 2.5 percent, to $485.83 per tonne on July 24 compared to $498.36 per tonne on July 17.

It is the sixth end-of-week decline in a row and the ninth in the last ten weeks.

Friday's price is also the lowest end-of-week figure in 25 weeks - since January 30.
