Oil spill recovery vessel tender announced

Tender launched for oil pollution recovery vessels along the Atlantic European coast.

The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has announced the launch of a new procurement tender for stand-by oil spill recovery vessels along the Atlantic European coastal area.

This latest tender is the second to be announced by the EMSA this year and follows the tender launched in February for stand-by oil spill recovery vessels for the Black and North Sea areas.

The second tender will establish 3 year renewable contracts with commercial shipowners, operators, spill response organisations and/or manufacturers. The selected vesels will operate along the Atlantic European coast from Porto in Portugal to Brest in France.

The procurement procedure will be in two phases. In the initial application phase, interested parties are invited to submit their applications to the EMSA. Candidates will then be invited to submit a full offer to the EMSA via the subsequent tender phase.

Companies interested in participating in the tender can send their applications to the following address:

European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA)
Mr Bernd Bluhm
Head of Unit: Pollution Response
Avenida Dom Joao, lote 1.06.2.5
1990 Lisboa

The deadline date for applications is 27th June, 17:00 hours.
