Singapore's biggest 380 cSt monthly increase in four years

First increase in eight months. February was also the third most volatile month for Singapore 380 cSt since May 2012.

The average monthly price of 380 centistoke (cSt) intermediate fuel oil (IFO) in Singapore rose for the first time in eight months in February, according to Bunker Index price data.

The 380 cSt average at the world's leading bunker port jumped $68, or 24 percent, to $351 per tonne last month, up from $283 per tonne in January.

Significantly, last month's increase is the biggest since February 2011, when the global average increased by $72 to $606 per tonne.

February also saw Singapore's best-selling fuel grade record an $82 daily low-to-high price range of $295 to $377 per tonne, thus making it the third most volatile month since May 2012.

Please find a table below outlining average monthly Singapore 380 cSt prices between April 2008 and February 2015.
