Dan-Bunkering announces management restructuring

New organizational structure is effective from August 1.

A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. - part of A/S United Shipping & Trading Company (USTC) group and one of the world's leading bunker trading companies - has revealed a new organizational structure, which is to be effective from August 1.

Commenting on the news, Henrik Zederkof, chief executive officer (CEO) said: "We must secure our position in the Asian region and look for further opportunities in this very important region. In order to achieve this, Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Morten Tranberg Mortensen, has been promoted to Head of Operations Asia, Senior Vice President and will in his new position join Dan-Bunkering’s management team.

"Morten will assume overall responsibility for the entire Asian region including the company’s two Chinese offices. I am convinced that Morten with his substantial experience in the shipping business and proven track record in sales, procurement and not least management is the ideal candidate to lead and develop Dan-Bunkering’s Asian business."

Dan-Bunkering has also made two further appointments, which it said was "to brace the company for the ever increasing competition in the marketplace".

Henrik Ladekjær has been named Group Credit Manager and will, according to the firm, "hold a highly visible and influential role within the Dan-Bunkering Group". He will be in charge of all aspects of the company’s credit management worldwide and his area of responsibility will include developing and maintaining the company’s credit strategy.

Mikkel Søholm Vestergaard has been appointed Group Manager - Recruitment & Training and in his new position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a global training and education program for all Dan-Bunkering’s traders. His area of responsibility will include recruiting both internally and externally for positions at all organizational levels.

"These organisational changes and adjustments will ensure that each Dan-Bunkering employee is able to focus 100% on the core business and we will be well equipped for the years to come," concluded Zederkof.
