Ida Ryberg joins the company's bunker team in London.

GAC Bunker Fuels has appointed shipping graduate and former GAC Denmark Shipping Assistant Ida Ryberg [pictured] as a bunker trader in the UK.

Ryberg joins Andy Boichat and Resham Rai at the London office and will also work closely with Kenny Petrie in Aberdeen, and Murray Bishop and Dimitra Maniati in Southampton, focusing on the superyacht sector from the sailing hub.

Commenting on the appointment, Nicholas Browne, Global Director of GAC Bunker Fuels, said: "The global bunkering market is facing significant change and challenges in the coming years. Regulatory compliance, emission controls, economic pressures and volatile prices are factors that will continue to impact supply and demand. In response, we are developing our infrastructure and hiring the right talent to continue to serve our customers effectively and help them deal with the new dynamics of the market."
