CEPSA offers 0.1% MGO in Tenerife


Spanish firm says it now delivers 0.1% sulphur fuel at all the ports where it supplies.

CEPSA Marine Fuels, S.A. (CMF) has announced that it now offers 0.1% sulphur content marine gasoil (MGO) at all the ports where it supplies following the addition of Tenerife.

CEPSA began delivering 0.1 percent sulphur MGO in Tenerife at the beginning of December 2009, replacing the 0.2 percent sulphur product it was supplying previously.

The company says the same product is already being supplied at the port of Las Palmas with "successful demand".

"Thanks to Cepsa’s refineries at Tenerife, Algeciras and Huelva, CMF is able to guarantee the best quality of this and all products, always adapting to the market demand and international standard regulations," CEPSA said in a statement.

"In order to reach CMF’s main objective, its client’s satisfaction, CMF constantly works on finding the best formulas combining reliability, quality, versatility and timely responsiveness," CEPSA added.

Commenting on the company's requirement to comply with European regulations, CEPSA said "Being ready to supply MGO 0.1% in all its ports one month before the law comes into force, is one more achievement of the CMF’s formula."
