OW Bunker moves office in Piraeus

Leading bunker player plans recruitment drive on the back of recent growth.

OW Bunker, one of the world’s leading suppliers and traders of marine fuel, has today announced that as a result of the significant growth realized by OW Bunker Malta Ltd, they will be relocating offices to larger premises in Piraeus as of July 27th 2009.

The growth has also initiated a further recruitment drive, with new appointments being announced in the near future.

"OW Bunker Malta Ltd has realised growth in all areas of the business, especially its world wide trading division, which has significantly expanded its client base with both local, and international customers. The company is now actively looking to recruit a number of roles for bunkers and lubricants trading," the company said in a statement.

OW Bunker is one of the longest established suppliers and traders in Piraeus, providing customers with a wide range of bunker solutions, including physical or paper, fixed or floating, spot or on contract.

The company also has a dedicated risk management division, which has also experienced growth, particularly during the current economic climate where managing risk, locking in fuel costs and maximizing profitability have become a real priority for many organizations.

Commenting on the announcement, Panayotis Bachtis, Manager, OW Bunker, said:

“The recent growth in Greece shows the strength of our offering, and our ability to work with our customers, based on an in-depth understanding of their operations, their businesses as well as the market. Central to maintaining this, as well as expanding our international client portfolio is ensuring that we have the right people with the right knowledge and international experience that can build these relationships with customers that are not just based on selling, but working in a consultative way to improve the performance of their businesses. We will therefore be looking to recruit a number of new roles as soon as possible.”br>
