Bominflot expands Panama operations

Supplier offers bunkering services on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal.

Bunker supplier and trader Bominflot has announced that it has expanded its delivery capability to the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal, with bunkering services now offered at Cristobal.

"This move complements our existing services at Balboa, and enables us to supply a full range of marine fuel grades on either side of the Isthmus," the company said in a statement.

"Now with fully Major-approved barges on both the Atlantic and Pacific sides in place, Bominflot will be able to respond to all customers' requirements," Bominflot added.

The expansion of Bominflot's bunkering operations in Panama follows the launch of the company's supply activities there in October 2008, offering 380-centistoke (cst) and MDO/MGO on the Balboa side only.

Bominflot has requested that enquiries for marine fuels in Panama be made either to Robert Lake at the company's offices in Houston or at any of the local Bominflot offices.
