Malik Supply is recruiting a bunker trader to join its Athens office as the company continues to strengthen its presence in the Greek market.

The role is open to candidates with prior bunker trading experience as well as those with a background in sales or other market-facing roles. Familiarity with shipping or the maritime sector is considered beneficial but is not mandatory, according to the company.

The position involves liaising with ports, suppliers, and local agents to coordinate bunker deliveries, identify new trading opportunities, and manage customer relationships. Responsibilities include understanding client requirements, negotiating pricing and concluding transactions in a fast-moving trading environment.

Applicants are expected to be based in Athens and fluent in both Greek and English. The role includes around 20 days of international travel per year and requires availability to operate within a 24/7 trading and shipping environment.

Founded in 1989, Malik Supply operates as a worldwide bunker trader and forms part of the Malik Group. The group maintains physical supply operations in Denmark under the Malik Energy brand and employs close to 100 staff, with offices in Denmark, Greece, Sweden and UAE.

Malik Supply holds ISO and ISCC certifications and said the Athens role offers exposure to international energy trading markets, as well as opportunities for professional development within the bunker sector.
