New employees at Engen Petroleum

Two new appointments at South African firm's marine fuels department.

Two new members of staff have begun their first working day with South African refiner and bunker supplier Engen Petroleum Ltd. today, as the marine fuels department undergoes personnel changes at the start of 2009.

Rosli Hasan has been appointed Commercial Trading & Marine Fuels Manager at the company's head office in Cape Town. He replaces Drikus Kotze, who has reportedly been seconded to Malaysia's state-owned oil company, Petroliam Nasional Bhd. (Petronas).

Petronas is a shareholder of Engen Petrolem and is therefore a major investor in the South African energy market. It also has an 80 percent stake in the 125,000 barrels-per-day Durban refinery, which is one of the principal supply sources for the South African bunker market.

Also joining Engen's marine fuels department today is Anmarie Klienhans, who was previously employed at Cape Town-based bunker trading company Cockett Marine South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Her new role will be as Marine Sales Executive.
