Singapore records highest 380 cSt monthly average in 15 months


Singapore's best-selling bunker product ended the month $21 higher than the last trading day of September.



The 380 cSt average at the world's leading bunker port by volume sold, Singapore, rose to its highest level in 15 months in October, according to Bunker Index price data.

Singapore's 380 cSt average increased by $26, or 10.2 percent, to $282 per tonne last month, up from $256 per tonne in September. It is the highest monthly average since July 2015.

The increase is the most significant in five months - since the $31, or 16.1 percent, rise recorded in May.

October saw Singapore's best-selling fuel grade record a $31 low-to-high differential, with a price range of $263 to $294 per tonne. The lowest price of $263 per tonne was seen on 4th October, whilst the month's highest price of $294 per tonne was quoted on 24th October.

The month ended with an assessment price of $283.00 per tonne, up $21.00, or 8.0 percent, on the $262.00-per-tonne figure recorded on the last trading day of September.
