Singapore records highest 380 cSt monthly average in 14 months


Singapore's best-selling bunker product ended the month $4.00 higher than the last trading day of August.



The 380 cSt average at the world's leading bunker port, Singapore, rose to its highest level in 14 months in September, according to Bunker Index price data.

The 380 cSt average at the world's leading bunker port increased by $16, or 6.7 percent, to $256 per tonne this month, up from $240 per tonne in August. It is the highest monthly average since July 2015.

The increase is the most significant in 3 months - since the $16, or 7.2 percent, rise recorded in June.

September saw Singapore's best-selling fuel grade record a $24 low-to-high differential, with a price range of $244 to $268 per tonne. The lowest price of $244 per tonne was seen on 2nd September, whilst the month's highest price of $268 per tonne was quoted on 5th September.

The month ended with an assessment price of $262.00 per tonne, up $4.00, or 1.6 percent, on the $258.00-per-tonne figure recorded on the last trading day of August.
