IBIA elections under way


There are currently three vacancies for the term of office starting April 1, 2016.

The elections to the International Bunker Association's (IBIA) board are under way. There are currently three vacancies for the term of office starting April 1, 2016.

Each member will receive a unique voting form from the 'Electoral Reform Society' that allows access to a dedicated website, whereby members can cast their votes.

The IBIA Board is elected from the membership, each member serves a three-year term with a third of the members seeking re-election each year. Elections are carried out during January with incoming board members taking up their positions on April 1. According to IBIA, the objective of the association is to have a representative board from both a geographic and business sector perspective. The Chair, Vice Chair and Honorary Treasurer are elected by the board members on an annual basis.
