OW Dubai's senior trader joins Dan-Bunkering in similar role


Kurosh Khonsari began his new job at Dan-Bunkering (Middle East) DMCC on Monday.



Dan-Bunkering has announced the addition of another former OW Bunker employee, Kurosh Khonsari [pictured], who has joined its business operation in Dubai, Dan-Bunkering (Middle East) DMCC. He began his new role as Senior Bunker Trader on Monday, December 1.

Khonsari has significant experience in the marine fuels industry. He joined OW Bunker in 1999, based out of its head office in Aalborg, Denmark, predominantly working on Middle Eastern accounts.

In March 2010, he was appointed Senior Bunker Trader at OW Bunker Middle East DMCC - an operation that was launched in 2007.

"Kurosh, who is of Iranian origin, comes from a similar position in OW Bunker and has an impressive and international career in the bunker industry behind him," Dan-Bunkering said in an emailed statement.

Kasper Fulton Stiedl, managing director of Dan-Bunkering's Dubai office, commented: "I note with great satisfaction and deep respect that Kurosh has decided to continue his future career with Dan-Bunkering.

"Kurosh has vast knowledge of the bunker industry having spent in excess of a decade in the business. The last five years, he has been working in Dubai and I am certain that he will be a valuable asset to our team and future positive development of our office."

With the latest addition to its staff, Dan-Bunkering's office in Dubai now comprises 13 traders and administrative staff.
