Dan-Bunkering confirms trader promotion in Monaco

Christoph Riecken is promoted to the role of Bunker Trader and Team Leader.

Danish firm A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. has announced that Christoph Riecken [pictured] has been promoted to the role of Bunker Trader and Team Leader at Dan-Bunkering (Monaco) S.A.M. The promotion is effective from November 1, 2014.

Riecken, aged 33, joined Dan-Bunkering (Monaco) S.A.M. as a bunker trader towards the end of August 2011 - shortly after the office was opened in February of the same year. Prior to joining the company, he had six years of experience in the oil industry, having previously worked for oil major BP Oil in London, Rotterdam, and Bochum.

Riecken is German, fluent in English and speaks French and Dutch. He also has a degree in Business Administration.

In an emailed statement, Jesper Møller Christensen, Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering (Monaco) S.A.M., said Riecken has been "a valuable member of the rapidly growing bunker trader team and he has increasingly shown an ability to motivate and lead his colleagues".

"It was therefore a natural development to appoint Christoph when the opportunity arose," added Christensen, who was said to be "looking forward to continuously enjoying the good working relationship with Christoph."
