Nordic Marine Oil hires former OW Bunker trader

Per Rathje was also a former employee of Malik Supply A/S - the parent company of Nordic Marine Oil A/S.

Nordic Marine Oil A/S - a wholly owned subsidiary of Malik Supply A/S - has announced the appointment of former OW Bunker employee Per Rathje [pictured], who joins the Danish physical supplier as Sales Development Manager.

In an emailed statement, Nordic Marine Oil said: "We are truly happy Per decided to join us. He is well known within the Group as he previously worked many years for Malik Supply. Per's vast industry knowledge will no doubt be a valuable asset to our company and customers.

"Being a physical supplier is as challenging as ever and combined with continued growth plans, Per will be a very welcomed member of the team."

The appointment of Rathje follows comments made last month by Steen Møller, Managing Director of Nordic Marine Oil, who confirmed that his firm was interested in hiring former OW Bunker staff.

"Both we and others are ready to take over parts of the [OW Bunker] workforce and turnover, and in our view it is urgent to re-establish confidence in the Danish industry," remarked Møller in a statement on November 11.
