BP Marine Fuels appoints new Chief Operating Officer

Ex-Air BP Asset Director looks to drive the business forward and secure new opportunities.

Bunker and Lubricants supplier BP Marine Fuels has announced the appointment of Graeme Alexander as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Alexander, who was previously employed as Asset Director for the Americas at Air BP, replaces Parris Beverly, who has taken up a new role working directly with large customers on a strategic basis across the wider BP group.

Speaking about BP Marine's recent success and his objectives for the future, Alexander said: “BP Marine Fuels enjoyed a successful 2007, including the expansion of capacity in both Rotterdam and Singapore, the opening of a new bunkering service in the Panama Canal and another year without any recordable spills. This year looks set to be another exciting one for us, and while I am looking forward to driving the business forward and securing new opportunities, our focus will be to continue to deliver a high value distinctive service to our customers.”

BP Marine supplies marine fuel in more than 250 ports with representative offices in key locations around the world. It is the leading supplier in Singapore, the world's largest bunker port, with a market share of approximately 18 percent and sales of around 4.5 million tonnes per annum.
