Vopak postpones publication of financial results

Third-quarter results are now to be published a day after the MH17 national commemoration.

Terminal operator Royal Vopak has announced that it is postponing the publication of its third-quarter results by one day out of respect for the national commemoration event for the victims of the flight MH17 tragedy, which is due to be held on November 10, 2014.

Vopak had originally planned to publish its results for the third quarter on that date.

"Out of respect for the MH17 victims and their families, we have come to the conclusion that the normal detailed discussions on the third-quarter financial results are not aligned with the spirit of the commemoration. Accordingly, we have decided to postpone the publication of our third-quarter results until the next day, Tuesday 11 November 2014, 07:00 CET," Vopak said in a statement.

Royal Vopak is the world's largest independent liquid bulk tank storage service provider by capacity, specialized in the storage and handling of oil products, liquid chemicals and gasses.

The company currently operates 78 terminals in 28 countries with a combined storage capacity of 32 million cubic metres, with another 6.3 million cubic metres under development, to be added by 2017.
