International Bunkering acquires Glander International


Newly named business, Glander International Bunkering, will be headed by Christoffer Berg Lassen.



Marine fuels and lubricants trading company, International Bunkering, has announced the acquisition of US-based bunker broking firm Glander International.

As part of the acquisition process, the business will be named Glander International Bunkering from November 1, 2013.

Commenting on the news, Christoffer Berg Lassen [pictured], Managing Director and CEO of Glander International Bunkering, said: "There are significant synergies connecting both companies, and this acquisition will reinforce Glander International Bunkering’s global operations. Jointly, the two companies' financial power, heritage and expertise will benefit our customers, through the positive union that this acquisition will bring. Clients will enjoy access to more in-depth knowledge, greater engagement with all major time zones and round-the-clock availability of Glander International Bunkering's expert brokers and traders."

As a result of the acquisition, Glander International Bunkering will have offices in Dubai, Singapore, Mumbai and Florida.
