International Bunkering appoints India head


New manager replaces Virendra Mishra, who is leaving the company to pursue a career outside of the bunker industry.



International Bunkering, a leading supplier of bunkers and lubricant solutions, has announced the appointment of Chandan Samaiyar [pictured] as its new India head. He began his new role on August 1, 2013.

Samaiyar replaces Captain Virendra N. Mishra, who is leaving International Bunkering to pursue a career outside of the bunker industry.

"With more than 30 years’ experience within the industry, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge of Indian shipping and bunkering," International Bunkering said in a statement.

Christoffer Berg Lassen, CEO of International Bunkering Group, commented: "I am very pleased to welcome Chandan to the International Bunkering group and I believe his knowledge and many years’ experience within the Indian bunker and shipping industry will substantially strengthen our Indian office."
