Bomin begins supplying at Algeciras

Supplier begins offering high sulphur 380-cst and MGO. Other grades to follow next month.

Bunker supplier and trader Bomin has confirmed that it has begun carrying out bunker deliveries at the Port of Algeciras, effective from today.

Fuel grades currently being offered to customers at Algeciras are high sulphur 380-centistoke (cst) intermediate fuel oil and marine gasoil (MGO), however, from the start of next month, the company says it is also due to begin offering high sulphur 180-cst and low sulphur fuel oil products.

The double hulled tanker vessel Lioba [pictured] has been deployed to Algeciras, where from today it has begun supplying to clients. The 4,400-deadweight-tonne (dwt) ship has a storage capacity of approximately 3,600 metric tonnes of fuel oil and 700 metric tonnes of marine gasoil.

The vessel's pumping rates are 900 metric tonnes per hour for fuel oil and 150 metric tonnes per hour for marine gasoil.

Speaking to Bunker Index, bunker trader Ole Neubert confirmed that enquiries for Algeciras would be handled by Bomin's offices in Gibraltar and Madrid. Contact details for both offices have been provided below.
