KPI Bridge Oil appoints risk management director


Christel McLoughlin will be based at KPI Bridge Oil’s headquarters in London.



Bunker broking and trading firm KPI Bridge Oil has announced the appointment of Christel McLoughlin [pictured] as Director of Risk Management Products.

Christel, who is a French national, has more than 15 years' experience in risk management and trading within the oil and shipping markets. She is fluent in English, French, Swedish, Norwegian and has working knowledge of German, Russian and Danish. She will be based at KPI Bridge Oil's headquarters in London.

Prior to joining KPI Bridge Oil, Christel was General Manager, Bunker Trading, at Danish shipping company A/S Torm, where she was department head, in charge of a team of bunker and derivatives traders from 2010 to 2012.

Between 2007 and 2009, Christel was Senior Trader at Norwegian energy firm Statoil, where she was in charge of trading fuel oil derivatives for the whole of the StatoilHydro group worldwide. She also worked in the speculative trading of crude oil and product derivatives as well as LPG and naphtha derivatives.

Christel worked as Director, Commodities Trading, at Latvian bank Parex Banka, between 2005 and 2006. She holds a bachelors degree in International Business and a masters degree in International Markets Management in addition to various industry courses.
