Johnny McIlroy joins Cockett Marine Oil

McIlroy named Group Credit Manager at Cockett Marine Oil's UK office.

Cockett Marine Oil Ltd. has announced the appointment of Jonathan (Johnny) McIlroy, who joins as Group Credit Manager, based in the UK Office, from 10th September 2012.

McIlroy has a wealth of experience of the bunker trading and physical supply markets having spent the last 7 years working as Credit & Marketing Manager for London-based Peninsula Petroleum Ltd.

Prior to this, McIlroy gained 13 years experience within the shipping business working as Crude Analyst for Platts, specializing in the North Sea and West African markets. In addition to freelance work as Marketing & Credit Risk Advisor in Barcelona, advising bunkering companies throughout the region, he also gained 5 years experience at Infospectrum as Business Analyst specializing in the Mediterranean shipping markets.

"Given Cockett Marine Oil’s expansion in the last few years and global growth plans for the future, it has decided to split the Group’s credit responsibility. As such, it will now have two Group Credit Managers, with one covering the Western Hemisphere and the other the Eastern Hemisphere," Cockett said in a statement.
