CYE Petrol launching Danube service


Turkish firm to launch its new bunker supply operation next week.

Turkish supplier CYE Petrol Ticaret Ltd. has revealed that it will commence its new bunker supply operation on the Danube river from next week.

Speaking to Bunker Index, Marketing Manager Ali Deniz Eraydin confirmed that the company intends to begin carrying out deliveries of 0.1 percent sulphur marine gasoil (MGO) to customers operating along Europe's second longest river.

CYE Petrol will run its new bunkering service in the so-called 61 miles zone located near Reni and Izmail and the entrance to the Black Sea. The company will use a bunkering barge with a pumping rate of 100 metric tonnes per hour.

Eraydin pointed out that vessels operating along the Danube typically run on marine gasoil and that any future strategy to supply additional grades of fuel would depend on demand.

CYE Petrol will begin taking enquiries for its new Danube river service on Friday 15th April.
